Flat Dog Films is a Tucson, AZ-based company committed to creating projects that make an emotional, psychological, or social impact. We provide the opportunity for the people we work with to excel, risk, laugh, be nurtured, and have creative breakthroughs. As producers, we strive to bring a unique voice to the big and small screens so that viewers are inspired and entertained. Our company operates with integrity and extremely high standards for quality in every aspect of our work.
We love the extraordinary, raw beauty of the Sonoran desert. The landscapes Arizona has to offer for cinematography are unmatched by any other state in the nation. Plus, the rich history and character offered by Tucson, as well as many Southern Arizona communities including our co-founder Sally Shamrell's hometown of Bisbee, make the Grand Canyon state a film producer's dream.
MISSION
ARIZONA IN FOCUS
Company co-founders Glenn Murphy and Sally Shamrell have been creating media content together for more than a decade. Between Sally's career as a television journalist-turned-actress and Glenn's career as a live music producer and business consultant, the duo has crafted and produced successful radio ad campaigns, long-form TV commercials and developed two television pilot scripts. "Choir Practice" is the first feature film they've developed under the "Flat Dog Films" moniker. Sally will be making her directorial debut.
P.S. The company name was inspired by "Bruce", relaxing in his favorite position.
